My Bookmark Collection

I have a bookmark buying addict, there’s no other way of putting it. I can’t help but buy a new bookmark every time I visit a new place, it’s a problem! Even though I only ever use one at a time, I can’t stop adding to my collection. I have photographed all the ones I own, and split them into categories, I hope you enjoy!

Holiday Bookmarks – the first mini collection are bookmarks I have bought when I have visited different places around the world, or when family/friends have been and brought me one back as a gift.

Roald Dahl Bookmarks – Roald Dahl means a great deal to me, especially the book/film Matilda. I bought my Matilda bookmark from Waterstones many years ago, and the beautiful illustrated cards were in a library and I picked some up (probably more than I should have!)

Days Out Bookmarks – this mini collection are bookmarks I have purchased from a day out somewhere, ranging from University open days to The National Space Centre.

Leather Bookmarks – these are some of my favourite bookmarks. They always stay in great condition because of the material, and once again these are bought from visits to different places. I try to get as many different colours as I can as I think they look beautiful next to each other.

YALC Bookmarks – YALC is the Young Adult Literature Convention, and is held in London once a year. I collected so many different bookmarks over the weekend from different publishing tables. I’m really excited to go back this and add more to my collection!

Quote Bookmarks – I love quotes, especially on bookmarks! That’s why some of these are my favourites too, especially the Alice in Wonderland quote.

Magnetic Bookmarks – I love the look of some of these, but don’t tend to use them as much (I had a page ripping experience with one once!)

Miscellaneous Bookmarks –  these other bookmarks are very different and random! The butterfly and polar bear ones are the types that move when you twist them, I love them! The Harry Potter bookmark was made for me by my friend for my 16th birthday!

So that’s my bookmark collection as it stands. I would love to do an updated bookmark collection post in a years time to see what new ones I have purchased! Thank you so much for reading this post, and I’ll see you in the next one.

Bookmarks would make great souvenirs! They are small and flat so you could collect a ton without it taking up a ton of room. I know you only use one at a time, but do you rotate through them all? Is there one you tend to favor? I love your collection!

I love these! Especially that Istanbul one, wow! I have a small collection of bookmarks, all of which are either from my middle/high school days (mainly old Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter bookmarks) or free ones I pick up at bookstores.

I’m always losing my bookmarks so for Christmas my best friend gave me a dinosaur one where the top and bottom of the jaw clip onto the top and bottom of the front page of the book and elastic/tail goes over the top and down into your current page. It’s brilliant because not only does it look like the dinosaur is eating the book but it’s so big I’m not going to lose it!
